My Master Blog

Hello,

I've created a few blogs and decided to combine them all of them into one place. If you look on the right you will see the blogs I've created since 2008. I go in cycles of writing them. These blogs are mainly to get my ideas out of my head into writing so I can stop obsessing over my thoughts (yes, I'm a bit OCD). Plus, I think I have great ideas and the world should know about them. :)

One is very personal, "The Small Family," which was started when my now 21-month old son, Russell, was born with Down Syndrome. The early posts were quite emotional and therapeutic for me to write. I don't write in it as much as I would like since it's a great way to keep in touch with family and friends.

The others, are topics that I can't seem to get off my mind and/or care deeply about:
  • Gemini Search is the name of my one-day nonprofit connecting people to organizations through in-kind donations (tangible items). This could be done in a number of ways. I actually had a website started at one point but I never published it and other things in life took priority. It's always been in the back of my mind. I don't think I will ever actually start the organization since I think there are enough nonprofits, we just need to get them the supplies they need.
  • Organizing for Renters came about because all the organizing books I read were for homeowners who could paint, take down, or build walls. As a renter, you're generally not supposed to do any of that. Now I'm a homeowner and I hope to still add ideas to this blog.
  • Gift Guides came out of a frustration that "unique" gifts found online were actually quite lame. I like to give something unique, thoughtful, and personal to the receiver.
I'll probably start a blog or two, including one about planning events, more as the mood and inspiration strike. We'll see where my blogging life goes....
